Look what Connor Got for Christmas!

Well as you can see, Connor got a lot of cool Boy stuff...A new Bouncy Pony, A new tricycle, A cordless drill just like Daddy's.

And last but not least, a new shirt that he can wear with pride! If you can't make it out, it says Only child, but is crossed out and says BIG BROTHER!!!

This is everyone's surprise Christmas Present. It happens to be Mommy's favorite! I think Daddy's favorite is still the TV, but that'll soon change!!!

Merry Christmas,

DK, Tiffanie, Connor, and Baby 2!!!

Christmas is Coming

I can't believe that it is only 4 days away from Christmas. I am sad that I won't be able to see my family in Houston, but I do promise to upload pictures and video of the festivities here for everyone to enjoy. In the meantime, here is our second family photo. The only other one we have was taken minutes after Connor was born, and I certainly will NOT be posting that on the internet! Merry Christmas!

Halloween

Blockquote
I am trying to show you how fabulous our little man did in his Halloween costume, but my connection right now is less than great, and it won't let me upload the pictures. I will try again tomorrow because you definitely want to see it!

Tiny Dare Devil!

This has been the gift that keeps on giving. Aunt Colette got an alphabet train for Connor's birthday. She said it was a good one because it is "educational." I don't think she ever intended for him to learn how to do this...

What a Busy Weekend

The weekend of Connor's birthday was jampacked. We had a lot of family come into town, and I still don't think we have recovered. We started things off with Connor's first haircut. He wasn't too sure in the beginning...

A little entertainment from Dad always gets a smile...

On Friday, we took all of the kids to the Fourth on Broadway Parade. It sounds a lot fancier than it actually is, but the kids looked great in their matching shirts.

Connor's party was a blast (and thank goodness it's over). Let's just say we will be having small gatherings at our house for the next several years! Connor took a little time to get into the cake, but you can see here that it was a success. That is him saying, "touchdown!" (There is some good video coming soon.)

After everything was said and done, his favorite present was a kiss from his first girlfriend...

VBS

Connor and I went to vacation bible school a couple weeks ago, and it was a blast. Connor loved going in for praise and worship every morning. He got to do his 2 favorite activities...sing and be cute for all of the women volunteering. I learned a valuable lesson...I will never be in Connor's class again. He was not interested in me paying attention to his friends. What can I say, he loves his mommy! We tried to take pictures of them for a craft project, and this is what we got...

It's hard to see that cute little smile when the ball is as big as him!

I can just hear what he is thinking, "Really, Mom? Get this thing off of me!"

Finally a smile. I know, it's a cornball smile, but I love it all the same.

Almost a Year!

Connor is changing and growing so fast. I can't believe that his first birthday is less than a month away. He loves to read, and he will sit for minutes looking at book after book. I use the term read very loosely. He really just turns the pages over and over.

Baby Einstein videos are his favorite thing to watch, but we can't get him to sit down. He wants to try to touch all the animals as they move across the screen!

We went to Joyland (Lubbock's extremely small amusement park) with our church last week. Connor is still too small for most of the rides, but he did go on the carousel. As you can see from his red cheeks, it was about 100 degrees outside. This did not help the fact that I was breaking out in a major heat rash and had radishes for cheeks and whelps all over my body. Unfortunately for you (Colette) I did not take any pictures of that for your entertainment!

Connor is 11 months old. I can hardly believe it. Here are a few pics from his 11 month birthday...

I keep telling him that maracas are for making music, but he would much rather try to eat them!

He is certainly a blanket baby...I can't imagine where he got that from!

Nine Months

I realize that Connor is only a little over 2 weeks away from 11 months...But you can enjoy his 9 month picture now. He is so busy and into everything. He pulls op on anything and everything. Our entertainment center is now a junglejim..of course, that has meant a lot of little bruises on his face. Unfortunately, he has a bit of a temper. He has started throwing fits when he doesn't get his way. D.K. and I can't imagine which one of us he got that from!

Here is some good video of the army crawl...

If you watch closely at the beginning of this video, you will see a real crawl. He only does that when he doesn't realize what he is doing or when he is not in a hurry. He just figured out pulling up today, so we couldn't resist sharing it with the world!

Monday, April 7, 2008

It was a busy month for Connor. He went to the Tech/UT basketball game, and he was just thrilled by all of the excitement. During half time he just couldn't take it anymore. He gave it up for a nap!

Easter was a big weekend for us. We loaded up the motorhome which we had borrowed from a friend and made the trek to Bangs. Connor did great and slept most of the way. While we were there, Connor got to participate in his first Easter Egg Hunt. He really didn't like the grass on his knees. He "found" one egg (laying out for all to see) and just played with it. Here he is showing off his loot.

Egg Hunting is hard work when you are only 8 and a half months old...

Connor was 9 months on April 5. He now weighs 18 lbs. 14 oz. and is 28" long. He is getting around really quickly with his army crawl. He thinks it is funny to "play chase." This game consists of Connor crawling away as quickly as he can while I ask him where he is going. He turns around often to make sure I am still following him. Here are a few picks from his 9 month birthday.

So many toys, so little time.

He saw me with the camera, and he is no longer happy to just sit there and ham it up. He now wants to be the one behind the camera...or rather, the one with it in his mouth!

Connor is growing up so fast. Every day he is changing. He doesn't crawl yet, but he really wants to. He manages to get around very quickly by doing his swat team crawl on his belly. We have figured out that you can't leave him unattended for too long because he gets into things. He has had his first taste of dog food. I am sure it is probably just as good as some of the baby food he eats. He has also investigated under the dresser in D.K.'s office...

His newest skill is reading the newspaper. You just have to make sure that you read it before he does! (For all of the McCain and Reynolds readers out there...he kind of looks like Brady in this picture to me.)

Connor turned 8 months old on the 5th. He gets "real food" (just puffs and teething biscuits) now. The teething biscuits are so dirty, but they give me a good 30 minutes of free time!

Wrong Way

D.K. and I went on our first date in 7 months last night! We know that is really sad. When we got home Connor was making some noble atempts at crawling, but he just can't seem to get it yet!

Swimming!

Ready to go...

Swimming like a fish...

Drying off...

Tuckered out...

I appologize for the long gap in updates. We have been in and out of town like crazy since Thanksgiving. I finally have some time...Connor is sleeping quietly...so enjoy!

Connor is 6 months old in these two pictures. In the first one he is very interested in...the tv. The boy loves Baby Einstein.

Connor can hold his own bottle now. It is great to be able to use that 20 minutes on cleaning the house. Occassionally I still hold him anyway because I just can't resist his sweet snuggles!

Connor turned 7 months old on the 5th of this month. His newest trick is sitting up! Sometimes he still goes tumbling, so Daddy is hovering nearby in the background. He is also very interested in the dogs now, Annie is content to lay with him and let him tug on her ears. Belle doesn't stay too close. She just comes in for a full face lick and then goes on her merry way!
