This weekend we decided to take what most of you might call a vacation, however, in our family it will now forever be known as "cation." We tried all weekend to get Connor to say it right, but it just wasn't happening. We also tried, without success, to explain to him that vacation is more of an idea than a place. He kept asking "Is this my cation?" We had to say several times that the hotel is just where you stay on cation and that all the fun is just what you do on cation...so here is the fun.
We went to the independent league Airhogs baseball game Friday night. Connor really wanted to "play ball like those big guys" but settled for cotton candy instead. We started out with a very early train ride Saturday morning trying to beat the heat. Needless to say, with a high of 102 for the day...the heat beat us! (For those of you who know my aversion to water...or should I say drinking water...you will be happy to know that even I stayed hydrated!)

So Big
I can't believe how big Case has gotten in just the last month. It seems like he has changed so much and is doing so many new things. He has started pulling up to his knees, waving (or maybe saluting...but we will call it waving), and just Friday he started giving sloppy, open-mouthed kisses. Because of all this...it was virtually impossible to capture him sitting still. He is now 10 months old (time to start planning for his college graduation!).

Sandbox Fun
Believe it or not we actually had a day of sunny, warm weather when the wind did not blow 100 mph! I have loosened up quite a bit with number two. I am actually letting Case play in the sandbox. It was a task to keep the sand out of his mouth.

My disclaimer: please excuse the glare...this is a picture of a picture. D.K. is going to scan it for me on Monday so I can change it to a better image. That being said, this is Case's nine month picture. The Robertson Boys getting ready for bed.

Pizza and Potatoes
We went to Chuck E. Cheese's with the boys "sisters." Since D.K. has decided (and I have gone along with a little willingly) that we are not having any more kids, these are the boys sisters... Lydia and Connor had a blast!

Busy, Busy Boys
It was a lovely weekend! Daddy and Connor took advantage of the warm weather and washed the cars...Connor also washed the driveway. The entire task probably took twice as long as normal because D.K. kept having to re-rinse parts that Connor just didn't feel were quite clean enough!

Random Stuff
Is it just me, or does Case look way too small to be using a sippy cup? Connor and I went to Disney Live last night with some friends. Connor in a Woody Hat:

Thanks Daddy!
Connor Classic:
After Connor's bath while putting him to bed
Mommy: Mmm...you smell so good!
Connor: (sniff sniff) You smell like crap!
Needless to say...I absolutely lost all parental and discipline skills on the spot. After regaining enough control to talk and wiping the laughter tears from my eyes, I asked where he learned that..."Daddy."

December Wrap-Up
SNOW MUCH FUN!
We got a lot of snow on the 23rd. We made a snowman (he actually looks like some creep who lurks in the parking lot after the bar). When he started to melt Connor said "Oh no. His little arms fell off!"

Daddy gave Connor a hand-made tool box...and Mommy was brave enough to let Connor paint it (on her dining room table). Pretty sure we went through a whole roll of paper towels. For those of you who know me well...this activity was a practice for me in letting go...I would have liked for it to be all one color...not at all the case. The finished product is 4 or 5 different colors with lots of color mixing going on. Not at all what I would have done!
Christmas Eve was lots of hard work for Connor. He had spent the last few days with Gram and Gramp, and they wore each other out. After no nap that day he crashed on the way home after only 5 minutes...with his favorite hat on!
On Christmas morning Connor had no time to stop for breakfast. However, he did finish off the cookie that Santa only partially ate...Santa should eat all of it next year. The conversation about the cookie went like this...
Sweet boys...
For those of you who don't already know...Connor told Santa that he wanted a Cow for Christmas. When Santa asked if the cow was going to live in his bedroom....he looked at him as if he was crazy and said, "It's going to live on the farm with all the other cows."Posted by Tiff at 7:05 PM 0 comments

Did He Really Say That?
Sometimes I just can't believe the things that come out of his mouth. This was as we were driving (at 10:30 at night) on the way to Houston.
Connor: Mommy, look down there (he pushes my face toward the bag o' snacks). There's cookies in there. You need to get them for me.

The Wal Mart Man
You all know who he is...the voice on the PA announcing important messages to other employees. Apparently Connor knows him personally or has been working at Wal Mart behind our backs!
Wal Mart Man: "An associate from baby to costumer service please"
Connor: "Yes"
WMM: "An associate from housewares to costumer service please"
Connor: "Yes"
WMM: "Thank you for choosing wal mart and have a nice day"
Connor: "Your Welcome"

Trick or Treat
We started Halloween off early and visited the Ranching Heritage Center last night for the "period treat." At all of the different cabins, you were given a candy that was from that time in history. For example...hershey kisses originated in 1904 so you got them at the 1910 cabin. Pretty cool. We also got to see some cool things from the past.
An old oil rig... An old truck... (even older than D.K.'s)
