Case's Stats

It was brought to my attention that I forgot to put Case's birth stats on here...he weighed 5 lbs and was 18 inches long. He was down to 4 lbs 6 oz on Tuesday, but he is finally eating well (and by that I mean all the time), so hopefully he is starting to gain weight now.

Birthday Boys

CONNOR: JULY 5 (2 YEARS OLD)
Connor's second birthday was so much fun. The four wheeler was a big hit, but he is a little confused. We need to work on the pink is for girls thing.

The only way to get the kids out of the bounce house was to mention cake!

Who needs presents when you have a giant Mickey Mouse balloon?

CASE: JULY 19
Case is finally here! We are so excited to welcome him into our little family. We are not sure where that dark hair came from.

The three of us (we will have to get one with big brother in it also for our first family picture).

Pitching

I am a girl...a very girlie girl...I am outnumbered, and it is only getting worse as our sweet boy Case gets ready to grace this world...all this is to say that I don't love watching sports on tv. If I can go to the game...that is a totally different story (I need atmosphere!).

Well...now that my house is being overrun with boys and boy things, we watch a lot of baseball. Connor has even picked up a few things from watching the pros...he is apparently going to be a pitcher! (Sorry that the video is kind of long.)

Potty Training?

Most people would see this picture and think, "Are they really keeping the potty in the living room?" Of course not! But, like every man...Connor is convinced that you should be able to watch baseball from the potty!

The truth is...we are not really into the potty training thing yet (myself included), but it does provide some good entertainment for D.K. and me. You will notice that Connor is wearing a hat...yes this hat is the potty bucket! Thank goodness he hasn't figured out what to do in there yet, or we would have had a big, disgusting mess to clean up!

Oh So Helpful

Connor is so helpful...with the dishes...with the laundry...with cleaning up toys...and D.K. learned today that he is so helpful when working on the truck!

Boys, Boys, Boys

Well...it looks like I am going to be completely out numbered! That's right, it's a boy. We have chosen Case Andrew as the name (no he is not named after anyone.)

Connor is slowly starting to grasp the idea that there is a baby in mommy's tummy, although he doesn't quite get it. Sometimes he tells me that the baby is in his tummy with his cereal. I am positive that he doesn't fully understand the implications that this baby will have on his life come August. He will probably want to send it back into mommy's tummy!

Connor is growing and changing so much. He loves "base-all" and "baset-ball". We are having to work on not throwing anything but balls, and throwing anything at the tv is the fast track to a spanking and time-out (Nana and Pawpaw are probably dialing CPS right now!)

Connor wants to use a spoon or fork at meal times, but sometimes this is just not efficient enough. He did feed himself some blue yogurt the other day...

Baby Update

Just thought I would let you all know that we (the baby and me) and doing well...we had our ultrasound yesterday, and baby is small (I am sure that you are so surprised) but the heartrate is good...so now we wait!
