Here is some good video of the army crawl...

If you watch closely at the beginning of this video, you will see a real crawl. He only does that when he doesn't realize what he is doing or when he is not in a hurry. He just figured out pulling up today, so we couldn't resist sharing it with the world!

It was a busy month for Connor. He went to the Tech/UT basketball game, and he was just thrilled by all of the excitement. During half time he just couldn't take it anymore. He gave it up for a nap!

Easter was a big weekend for us. We loaded up the motorhome which we had borrowed from a friend and made the trek to Bangs. Connor did great and slept most of the way. While we were there, Connor got to participate in his first Easter Egg Hunt. He really didn't like the grass on his knees. He "found" one egg (laying out for all to see) and just played with it. Here he is showing off his loot.

Egg Hunting is hard work when you are only 8 and a half months old...

Connor was 9 months on April 5. He now weighs 18 lbs. 14 oz. and is 28" long. He is getting around really quickly with his army crawl. He thinks it is funny to "play chase." This game consists of Connor crawling away as quickly as he can while I ask him where he is going. He turns around often to make sure I am still following him. Here are a few picks from his 9 month birthday.

So many toys, so little time.

He saw me with the camera, and he is no longer happy to just sit there and ham it up. He now wants to be the one behind the camera...or rather, the one with it in his mouth!

Connor is growing up so fast. Every day he is changing. He doesn't crawl yet, but he really wants to. He manages to get around very quickly by doing his swat team crawl on his belly. We have figured out that you can't leave him unattended for too long because he gets into things. He has had his first taste of dog food. I am sure it is probably just as good as some of the baby food he eats. He has also investigated under the dresser in D.K.'s office...

His newest skill is reading the newspaper. You just have to make sure that you read it before he does! (For all of the McCain and Reynolds readers out there...he kind of looks like Brady in this picture to me.)

Connor turned 8 months old on the 5th. He gets "real food" (just puffs and teething biscuits) now. The teething biscuits are so dirty, but they give me a good 30 minutes of free time!

Wrong Way

D.K. and I went on our first date in 7 months last night! We know that is really sad. When we got home Connor was making some noble atempts at crawling, but he just can't seem to get it yet!

Swimming!

Ready to go...

Swimming like a fish...

Drying off...

Tuckered out...

I appologize for the long gap in updates. We have been in and out of town like crazy since Thanksgiving. I finally have some time...Connor is sleeping quietly...so enjoy!

Connor is 6 months old in these two pictures. In the first one he is very interested in...the tv. The boy loves Baby Einstein.

Connor can hold his own bottle now. It is great to be able to use that 20 minutes on cleaning the house. Occassionally I still hold him anyway because I just can't resist his sweet snuggles!

Connor turned 7 months old on the 5th of this month. His newest trick is sitting up! Sometimes he still goes tumbling, so Daddy is hovering nearby in the background. He is also very interested in the dogs now, Annie is content to lay with him and let him tug on her ears. Belle doesn't stay too close. She just comes in for a full face lick and then goes on her merry way!

Merry Christmas

It is hard to see Connor under the tissue paper, but I promise that is him. His favorite present was the paper!

Right now Connor is thinking...I wish I already had that crawling thing down!

This is just a little video for all of you from us to say "Merry Christmas!"
