Slow and Steady!

Case was a whoppin 5 lb 3 oz today! He is like the turtle. Slow and steady. If you remember, Connor started out much the same way, but now my sweet 2 year old is a very solid 30 lb.

One Month!

Case is one month old! We weren't able to get a good picture of him awake because he blinks when the flash comes, and this is what you get...
This is the sweet Case that I love (the sleeping one)! I think that dark hair might be falling out. I can see a few bald spots.

Boys...

I have determined that this must be passed down through the Y chromosome...

Paw-paw and Daddy both sleep with their arms like this, so it has to be genetic!
Connor is still into fashion design...I am sure that this is just a phase!

A Little Update

Our lives are pretty crazy these days. We have a rule at our house...everybody has to rest for at least 2 hours in the afternoon. Connor chose not to sleep yesterday during our rest time, and instead tried his hand at a little fashion design. I am not sure what kind of statement he is trying to make.

Today we had a weight check for Case. He is having trouble gaining weight (he was at 4 lb 12 oz today), and his doctor wanted to make sure that it is just because he is a premie and not because of any thing more serious...you can't see it in the picture, but he actually got stuck 4 times before it was all said and done. I had to be strong because my sweet Connor was worried about why the nurses were making his brother cry, but it is not easy to sit there and watch them draw blood on your sweet little baby.

I was able to catch this sweet moment of my big man, little man, and wee-man.

This picture is from the hospital. Connor has been so great. If he thinks Case is upset, he wants to know why. And he always reminds us "that's my bwudder." We have had one close call (I am sure it is only the first of many) when Connor picked Case up off the couch and was dangling him upside down by the hips over the hard-wood floor. Scary! He now knows that only Mommy and Daddy hold Case.

Case's Stats

It was brought to my attention that I forgot to put Case's birth stats on here...he weighed 5 lbs and was 18 inches long. He was down to 4 lbs 6 oz on Tuesday, but he is finally eating well (and by that I mean all the time), so hopefully he is starting to gain weight now.

Birthday Boys

CONNOR: JULY 5 (2 YEARS OLD)
Connor's second birthday was so much fun. The four wheeler was a big hit, but he is a little confused. We need to work on the pink is for girls thing.

The only way to get the kids out of the bounce house was to mention cake!

Who needs presents when you have a giant Mickey Mouse balloon?

CASE: JULY 19
Case is finally here! We are so excited to welcome him into our little family. We are not sure where that dark hair came from.

The three of us (we will have to get one with big brother in it also for our first family picture).

Pitching

I am a girl...a very girlie girl...I am outnumbered, and it is only getting worse as our sweet boy Case gets ready to grace this world...all this is to say that I don't love watching sports on tv. If I can go to the game...that is a totally different story (I need atmosphere!).

Well...now that my house is being overrun with boys and boy things, we watch a lot of baseball. Connor has even picked up a few things from watching the pros...he is apparently going to be a pitcher! (Sorry that the video is kind of long.)
