We had to say bye to "kitty" this week. I am so glad that D.K was able to capture this picture last weekend during rest time! Connor loved to play with (and torture) her, so it is good to have this for him since he probably won't remember having her. It was a sad day for Mommy, and Connor couldn't understand why he couldn't go with kitty. When we told him to say goodbye because kitty was going to live with Jesus, he said "Me too. I carry her." Someday we will all see her again, and when I think of heaven, I don't see any litter boxes! God must have some way to get cats to use the potty!

Slow and Steady!
Case was a whoppin 5 lb 3 oz today! He is like the turtle. Slow and steady. If you remember, Connor started out much the same way, but now my sweet 2 year old is a very solid 30 lb.

One Month!
Case is one month old! We weren't able to get a good picture of him awake because he blinks when the flash comes, and this is what you get...
This is the sweet Case that I love (the sleeping one)! I think that dark hair might be falling out. I can see a few bald spots.

I have determined that this must be passed down through the Y chromosome...

A Little Update
Our lives are pretty crazy these days. We have a rule at our house...everybody has to rest for at least 2 hours in the afternoon. Connor chose not to sleep yesterday during our rest time, and instead tried his hand at a little fashion design. I am not sure what kind of statement he is trying to make.
Today we had a weight check for Case. He is having trouble gaining weight (he was at 4 lb 12 oz today), and his doctor wanted to make sure that it is just because he is a premie and not because of any thing more serious...you can't see it in the picture, but he actually got stuck 4 times before it was all said and done. I had to be strong because my sweet Connor was worried about why the nurses were making his brother cry, but it is not easy to sit there and watch them draw blood on your sweet little baby.
This picture is from the hospital. Connor has been so great. If he thinks Case is upset, he wants to know why. And he always reminds us "that's my bwudder." We have had one close call (I am sure it is only the first of many) when Connor picked Case up off the couch and was dangling him upside down by the hips over the hard-wood floor. Scary! He now knows that only Mommy and Daddy hold Case.
